This year we worked with the good people at portable to create 6×60 second animations for #Chatsafe. It’s a mental health organisation with a special focus on young people and how they can use social media to safely communicate about mental health. This was a very unique job for Tim and I. It’s our second foray into using Toon Boom Harmony for bigger productions and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
The project was a great mixture of Motion Graphics and Character Animation and had to be at 30 frames per second so we had to create character rigs for the animation, plus use particles and rig up a lot of different assets for the character to interact with. An additional challenge with this job was Creating different versions with slightly different framing for; youtube, Snapchat and Instagram!
